Victoria + Anthony : Wedding
January 12, 2010Italian Vogue. That is the magazine in which I could see Victoria and Anthony’s beautiful wedding gracing. Victoria and Anthony (aka Gilly and Ank) met 9 1/2 years ago on the soccer fields of Puget Sound University. It wasn’t for another 3 years until the two had their first date at Puget Sound’s coffee shop, where, according to Anthony, sparks flew. The two finished college and spent many frequent flyer miles while Victoria attended ASU Law school in Tempe, AZ to arrive at their engagement day on May 17th.
Victoria says “He proposed on my birthday. We had the BEST day, walking around a sunny Seattle day (where we were living at the time). We made a great dinner, and he gave me a rad pair of shoes I had been pining over. It was 10:30 at night and I was reading. He came over, kneeled down next to me, and asked me if I would spend the rest of my life with him. The best part is he was wearing a pair of sweatpants and pulled the ring out of his pocket. Apparently my comments about public, embarrassing proposals were heard! It was just the two of us after an awesome day together it was perfect!
The PERFECT couple found themselves 7 months later, her in a beautiful dress, him dashingly handsome in his suit and tie, standing before 120 of their closest family and guests at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Sun Valley, Idaho exchanging vows. The mass was beautiful, and actually, Anthony and Victoria’s favorite part of their entire wedding day!
Victoria: “My favorite moment from the wedding day was the mass. Being in such a beautiful location, in a beautiful church, and having our family and friends in one place is something I will treasure forever.”
Anthony: “The mass. I kept looking over at Victoria and out at all of our family and friends in the church and felt true joy. It was a beautiful setting.”
True joy it was. After the mass was over, Anthony and Victoria met their guests at the beautifully candle-lit Elkhorn Lodge, but not before a quick pit-stop. Since Victoria and Anthony decided to do a “reveal” before the wedding and have all the family photos taken before the ceremony as well, they had plenty of time to allow the guests to arrive and spend a little special time with just the two of them.
Victoria: “After the mass, we took a few extra photo’s and called Taylor (wedding planner) Sturges, and found out the guests were still arriving. So we decided to stop at the Sun Valley Nordic Lodge and have a drink. It was the BEST decision. We had 15 minutes to ourselves to celebrate. It was a perfect way to collect ourselves and relish the moment before getting the party started with all our favorite people!”
Get the party started, they did! DJ Lenny Joseph kept the hottest tunes pumping and the Bride and Groom didn’t leave the dance floor all evening! It looked like a full-on dance party and we were lucky to grab every minute of it.
Now on to the photos!
