Regina and Gene are two very easy going parents-to-be, and such a blast to work with!  I know that having a baby girl won’t phase them one bit,  and she will be perfect!!

– it’s Buddy, Presly and Mommy day today!  We stopped by the studio to finish up some work, before we go on a hike and some skiing. Buddy loves to nap in the morning sun and Presly just loves to be with her Buddy — today is going to be a wonderful day!!  XO

I finally had a chance to get my good friend (and extraordinaire wedding planner with Sun Valley Company), to come in and get some 4 week old newbie photos of her little man Noah!  He got the “gorgeousness genes” from his mommy and daddy, and is such a mellow, alert baby — never went to sleep or even cried!!! Nicola and Chris came into town to finish up some last minute wedding planning with the family, and of course some skiing! We decided to shoot yesterday after Nicola did a trail run wedding makeup with Noelle Hodge. Nicola you looked stunning! But, unfortunately our typical sunny, Sun Valley — was COLD, windy, and gray! We still did a few photos, and we will get some more next time they are back for planning their wedding in July for over 350 guests!

Aaron and Sarah are the easiest-happy-go-lucky couple ever to work with!  They met at a birthday party, she was the girl watching the Red Sox playoffs, and Aaron being the ‘shy one’ watched her from a distance. They bumped into each other again at a Halloween party.  Sarah’s costume was a slutty pirate and Aaron was dressed as a Twin Falls band geek (that’s where he grew up). They fell in love, lived together in Sun Valley for two years, and then moved to San Francisco in June. Sarah and Aaron were planning a summer wedding in San Francisco, but by the time Thanksgiving rolled around, they were not feeling at peace with the huge celebration they were planning. “Sun Valley was unquestionably the only place that felt comfortable for our marriage.” So they agreed and both ready to be married sooner rather than later,  they settled on February and planned the whole thing in two and a half months!

Sarah: “I think my favorite part of the whole wedding day was actually the few moments Aaron and I spent together in the car as we went from one photo location to another, and finally down to the club. It just felt so special to be dressed up as bride and groom in our old familiar car, driving around an old familiar place, moments away from the event we had been anticipating ever since he proposed in June!”

Aaron: “it was when I finally got to bust out my Michael Jackson dance moves to “Billie Jean”. (Sarah later told me that, he has been waiting a LONG time for the perfect opportunity to prove his talents. I get to see them all the time at home!)

Sarah and Aaron, I can’t express how thankful I am to have met you, your friends, and your families. Thank You for letting me document your love and wedding day!

Amanda Seaward was the wonderful and talented wedding planner! Sarah says, “I truly wouldn’t have been able to do it without her, and she was so understanding in the weeks before the wedding of my hectic teaching schedule and always reassured me that it was all on track–and it was!”   Jamilynn Smith did her hair and makeup at Vertu, made her look extra fab!  Tara Bella Flowers did another beautiful job, the reception and ceremony was at the Valley Club, and DJ Lenny Joseph got the party started!

I am hiring!! I am currently looking for someone to join me part-time.

Let me explain why…for every hour of photography time, I spend 6 hours doing post work such as color correction, album design, print ordering, etc…. and that does not include office work, phone calls, e-mails, web upkeep. My goal is to find someone to help with my marketing and networking that takes a big chunk of my time – “I consider photographing weddings my day off, I get to do what I LOVE!”  Also somewhere in there, find time to do the fun family things I have being missing out on! I have worked hard at my photography business and I am ready to have a little bit of life outside of work (:

Here are some of the tasks I would love for you to help me with….

- updating Facebook/Blog page with recent shoots and happenings

- submitting images to wedding blogs/magazines with a story line about the couple and details of their fabulous wedding.

- has experience on a Mac and using Adobe Photoshop

- help out with Gallery Walks

- designing albums/submitting album orders, upgrades, and changes with layouts

- handling billing and sales with clients

- assisting with various tasks around the office: proof reading emails, answering general questions, assisting with personal paperwork, organization, etc.

- 200% people friendly, with a really positive, energetic attitude and self-motivated!

For this position you should have access to a fast, modern computer, internet, and should have a semi-flexible daytime schedule.  Applicants only in Wood River Valley area, and please note that this is a non-shooting position. Most work can be completed on your own schedule, but I will occasionally need you to come into the studio. My Ideal candidate would be a new or stay at home mom, have a marketing background, (experience in an art related field is a plus), anyone interested in a long-term, part-time, work-from-home position.  Pay will be primarily task-based, meaning that you will receive a specific amount for each task you complete. Please bear in mind that this is a job-by-job, and not a permanent full time gig — yet! Presly’s best friend at school is sweet miss Brielle. This session was A LOT of fun for me —  having playtime at my studio and get some cute pics of the girls! Lori from 1crown3tiaras sent me over her new spring collection that she hand sews and sells on Etsy. The girls had a fun time mix n matching jewelry to create their look (: So here are 2 dresses we photographed yesterday, (more to come from other littler models wearing spring clothes)….lot’s of laughing and giggling and some serious cuteness….

Today I was supposed to have a senior portrait session with Maddie, she was not feeling well today — and the weather is just gloomy. Her younger sister, Hayley and mom stopped by just to say Hi and reschedule. I had my gear ready, so I took a few shots of miss Hayley — 8th grade, so sweet and confident!!
